Rags N Riches were a well known rock band during the late 80's and early 90's on the Sydney (Australia) pub rock circuit with a solid live following. Formed out of the touring band for lead vocalist Scott Ginn's solo album 'One Man Army', they delivered their unique brand of 'Rag 'n' Roll' - a blend of commercial hard rock and hair metal with an emphasis on partying and having a good time. One single was released on coloured white vinyl "Dance baby dance w/ Money can't change your mind".
The band stopped performing after 1993, and the recorded archive of Rags N Riches material sat idle for many years. During 2015-2017 Ginn digitally remastered the band's original recordings. Rags N Riches debut album 'Shipwrecked out in the street ' was released in 2016. 'Heaven is only a moment away' is the band's second album featuring more material from the 80s/90s recording sessions.

The band has recently reformed to do live shows to promote the release of this album.

I fell in love with their newer album, so i decided to get this one as well, and I do thank my greed for awesome NWOTHM for this good choice! I mean it's great music like Crimson Glory and Judas Priest, with very talented guitar players, and a very high-pitched vocals à la Helloween and Whitesnake and IMHO really cool lyrics. I told myself I'd review when I could pick a favourite song. I still can't really pick one -- it'd be easier to list the ones I like the least, but even they've grown on me to a point where I want to listen to them frequently ("Funky Bonez", I'm lookin' you!). At a push it's probs "I Need Lovin'" that beats the rest -- there's just something special about it. There's something special about the whole album, really. I love the different influences in it.
